VIDEO: Moment Annie almost introduced herself as Idibia but immediately corrected herself

Annie Macaulay, the well-known Nollywood actress, had a subtle yet impactful moment that captivated all at the 2025 Headies Awards.

While onstage, Annie briefly stumbled and almost mentioned her previous last name Idibia, which is associated with her marriage to the famed musician 2Baba (previously known as Tuface Idibia).

She, however, interrupted herself before saying the name and instead confidently declared her maiden name, Macaulay.

The crowd quickly caught on and began loudly cheering in support. With a smile, Annie enthusiastically responded, playfully shouting “hey my single ladies” to the audience. This action served as a clear reminder that she fully embraces her new chapter.

While some argue that it was a deliberate move to prove her well-being, others claim she simply forgot and is out of touch with reality.
