BREAKING: Tinubu Heads to Benue Over Killings, Kaduna Visit Shifted
President Bola Tinubu has canceled his planned visit to Kaduna and will instead travel to Benue State on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, following renewed violence in the state.
The visit is aimed at addressing the escalating crisis that has led to multiple deaths and displacement. President Tinubu will meet with traditional leaders, community heads, religious figures, political stakeholders, and youth groups to seek immediate and long-term solutions.
In preparation, the SGF, IGP, NSA, and other security chiefs have been deployed to Benue ahead of the President’s arrival. A town hall meeting with stakeholders will also be held.
The President’s visit to Kaduna, originally set for June 18, has now been postponed to Thursday, June 19, 2025.
