BREAKING NEWS: Remo Stars Crowned 2024/25 NPFL Champions

The 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season has come to an end as the champions have been determined – congratulations to Remo Stars for claiming the title.

The team of Daniel Ogunmodede secured their first NPFL championship after defeating Niger Tornadoes 1-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Sunday.

In the 84th minute, Olamilekan Adedayo secured victory with a crucial goal.

Remo Stars achieved a groundbreaking milestone as the first privately owned club to win the title since 1996, when Udoji United also accomplished this feat.

This marks the first South West club to claim the title in 20 years, following the win of now-defunct Julius Berger.

The team from Ikenne currently holds the top spot in the standings, having accumulated 68 points in 35 matches.

Rivers United, who currently hold the second spot, have gathered 58 points in an equal number of matches.
